Advantech Launches HIT-512 Medical-Grade Information Terminal for Bedside Applications
Advantech, a leading provider of medical computing platforms and solutions, is pleased to announce HIT-512 – an 11.6” medical-grade healthcare information terminal that provides system integrators with a bedside terminal that can be easily integrated with nurse call systems for rapid solution development.
Featuring an Intel® Celeron® J3455 quad-core processor and 11.6” display with 10-point projected capacitive (P-CAP) touch control, HIT-512 provides a reliable, high-performance device that can be easily integrated with nurse call systems. To ensure flexible deployment for a wide range of healthcare applications, HIT-512 terminals are compatible with Windows 10 IoT (64 bit), Android 8.1, and Linux 18.04 operating systems and support both wired and wireless communication.
The provision of SDKs enables healthcare staff to control the terminal functions, such as adjusting the LED indicator, audio, and watchdog settings, without additional installation. For system integrators, the HIT-512 terminal is compliant with IEC 60601 safety standards for medical devices, which minimizes the time-to-market by ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Versatile Bedside Terminal Improves Patient Care
The HIT-512 terminal’s compact design and support for VESA mounting make it ideal for installation as bedside terminals. Patients can use the HIT-512 terminals to request nurse assistance and manage the room environment, for example, to adjust the bed height and room lighting. Meanwhile, healthcare staff can use the terminals to access medical records and hospital information systems, retrieve laboratory results, monitor patient vital signs, and document treatment observations, improving the quality of patient care provided at bedsides.
Multiple I/O for Flexible Configuration and Development
To optimize the use of control panels on sophisticated medical equipment, HIT-512 is equipped with multiple I/O ports for integrating additional peripherals according to usage requirements. This eliminates the need to install extra modules or customize the design during manufacturing, providing equipment builders with an easily integrated HMI for rapid solution development.
